Default What's the difference between RIM Blackberry and Internet Access?

Okay, someone has got to know this. Everytime I look at the data portion on my bill I see RIM Blackberr and Internet Acce along with the megabytes of usage to the right. I'm confused. When I'm at home, I'm always on WiFi and I make sure the other two BBs are set to WiFi too. What's the difference between these two? Does Internet Acce mean WiFi in this case? I noticed I'm using less than 200 MB a month of data. I've been meaning to switch to the 200 MB plan for $15 but I'm not sure if it's a good idea. See attached thumbnail to see what I'm talking about. Thanks in advance.

Even when you are on WiFi, your data goes through there servers.

Wifi data is not listed on your bill. Rim data is spefically data that's is routed throught rims servers, and internet access is data routed to the internet not throught rims servers. So whetever is listed on your bill is all data that is used on the carriers network, not wifi

All data on BIS goes through RIM's servers.

Your BlackBerry Data Plan (BlackBerry Internet Service - BIS) is what you pay for monthly. This data goes over the internet via blackberry.net. WiFi will use BIS/blackberry.net too.

If you set your BlackBerry up correctly, then you should not use any other data but this. I am not sure about WAP sites when using the internal browser. I think these go via BIS/blackberry.net.

If you have set your APN settings then some apps may well be using (and costing you money) data that is not going via blackberry.net.

To find the culprit you may have to uninstall one or more of your apps. Opera-mini is an obvious culprit.
