Default what happens if i cancel some of my lines with one month left on contract?

I'm now determined to cancel my primary line on my family plan on 11/20. My contract on all four lines is through 12/19. Will there me some savings here in changing my net service- or should I just leave everything alone and let the contract run out?

I have purchased a phone from sprint for coverage reasons and it is not necessary to port my number.

they will charge you a cancellation fee for every line i believe... It probably wouldn't be worth it to cancel until the contracts up. Remember though if you dont call in to cancel your phone on the day you're contracts up you will go on a m2m basis.

There will be an ETF. It will probably be 200 dollars per line.

I would let the contract end per schedule. Then port your numbers over to Sprint the say after. You can port your anytime.

I'm not so sure about that...actually, now that I think about it--i believe I actually have my contract to read over from two years ago. That'd be crazy- to accrue $800 in ETF fees for cancelling, when the monthly bill for the last month would only be $180.

But with cell phone companies- I shouldn't take anything for granted, huh?

You can see what services you can cancel before then, and then cancel the linces once the contract is up. Maybe even bump your plan down to the lowest they will let you.

Changing his plan would extend his contract by 1 year.

Not all changes will, but yes, some will.

Doesn't TMo prorate now? with one month left it would be either $50/line or the remainder bill, whichever is lower.

It will depend on your plan to determine the actual ETF, but its a safe bet that it wouldn't be more than $50. You can always call CS and find out exactly. You should even be able to get some concessions on the lines you are keeping if you play your cards right.
