Default What ELSE does Blackberry International Email Plan cover?

I live in NY but I will be in Paris for the summer. I will have the Blackberry International Email Plan activated on my account. It's been said on this forum (and by the BB CSR I just spoke to, but they have been wrong in the past) that BBMs ARE included, even if that isn't written anywhere.

What I want to know is, what applications are also covered under this plan? Facebook? Twitterberry? Google Maps? I need to know what applications to get rid of before I leave the country. THANK YOU!

Hey, I posted a similar thread not too long ago. Tmobile CSR stated that Unlimited International email only covers email (in which I knew). There are some threaders to claim that bbm, web, data is free and never been stated on the bill. Only one way to find out.

I've seen screenshots of bills and 99% of everyone I talked to who used this wasn't charged. The people who will tell you that it's email only either work or T-Mobile and/or have never used and are just going by what the site says.

i'm planning to use this soon when I go to Canada.

If you want more proof, just google "T-mobile international data"

Thanks. What about programs like Facebook? I know the old version of Facebook worked over e-mail. Now with version 1.5, it's a little more souped up, and has photos and such that must be taken from the web. Anyone know?

I go to Paris on a regular basis. When I'm there I set my network search to manual and stay on Orange FR. With the Int data I never got charged for BBM. From here too I don't get charged.

Do you use an Orange SIM? or the US-TM SIM?

The Tmo sim, it's how I save money. I email or BBM instead of calling.

I don't think it makes (much of) a difference. The only time I've found a difference (and this was in France) was in being able to dial US toll free numbers. Most of the time I just get the standard message telling me that the number I'm calling is, in fact, not toll-free (duh) and that I'll be charged standard international roaming rates. But every now and then it won't let me call it at all. It's at this point that I look to switch networks and that usually does the trick.

Orange doesn't help, I just like the coverage. In France you will have 3 choices. 1 Orange FR, 2 SFR Vodafone, 3 Bouygue. My EDGE signal is the strongest on Orange and if you set your network search to manual it will stay on it.

So I just got to Paris. My e-mail works fine of course, but I decided to experiment. I used internet browsing, twitterberry, and google maps. Then I called T-Mobile to check in on my bill. They said the only record thay have for me is a $0.35 international text message that I sent. But they also said that it can take from a few hours to a few days for the French telecom company to let T-Mobile know about the roaming charges. I really hope nothing appears on my bill because I would love to have internet while in Paris!

I spent most of May-August last year in Europe and Asia and only rang up roaming charges for SMS and voice usage. I've had the same international data plan since 2007 (I just leave it on all the time). I've never been charged a dime for all the internet/PIN messages I've used overseas. I even teathered while in Germany.

Just curious, but do you think whether or not you're using this plan on a personal or business account affects whether you'll be charged?
I'm wondering if business accounts int'l data is charged differently from others.
