Default Warranty replacement batter...water damaged?

I just received my warranty replacement battery for my 8520 in the mail from T-Mobile. I opened it up and was shocked to find that the liquid damage sticker is full of red Xs. The rep I spoke to when I called in seemed to think it was fine. Should I be worried? I feel not right about putting it into my pristine, no water or other damaged phone. And how can I replace it under warranty if it has the sticker full of Xs?

If there are any later problems the FIRST thing that CS will want to determine: were there any indications of water damage??? IE: The water indicator stickers turned color.
1) Insist that they give you another one with white stickers
OR
2) Have them give you a letter of disclosure saying they are aware that the item, with so and so IMEI#, had red stickers when it was given to you. This is EXACTLY the same thing as what an auto rental company gives you when you rent a car with prior damage.

My BATTERIES always seem to have red lines or marks on them. T mobile has assured me numerous times it doesn't matter about the batteries.... Only the actual water damage stickers on the PHONES. Makes sense if you think about it becuae if you have to send back a phone you don't have to send the battery or back with it.

SandAngel is correct. The water damage indicators are only on the phone. That sticker on the battery is not one of those stickers. We've gotten over 100 phones and they all have xxx's

Thanks everyone. I will stop worrying. I was confused because the first replacement battery's sticker was white and this one was Xd. The only other time I had seen that was when I accidentally washed my husband's Pearl Flip. Its battery showed the Xs

A couple of you are correct, in different ways. The sticker on the battery is indeed a water indicator. However, certain BB batteries have the red X markings to indicate the absence of water on the sticker, which then bleed to pink when water contacts it. If you want to be sure, post a picture of the battery so I can take a look at it. You can also email it to me directly with the info in my signature
