Default Very Slow Email Push

Has anyone else noticed a problem with the email pushes to your phone? It seems in the past 3-4 days that I am getting about 5% of the email that is actually in my box pushed to my BB.

is it your email? when i was using a webmail account, there were problems when they pushed the emails to my phone. sometimes it took hours to days to get emails.....lame.

however, with my gmail account, there is only a 3-5 second lag.

what do you use?

My girlfriend has been experiencing the same problem, but only with her Yahoo account. She has both a Yahoo account and a Gmail account on her 8520. Her Gmail account is still receiving mail instantly. Her Yahoo account seems to be backlogged, though. She will see mail on her computer, but not receive it on her phone for hours later.

However, my Yahoo account on my 9700 has been working without a hitch.

Yes! I have a total of three email accounts and Yahoo is the worst by far. Talked to ATT Tech support and the rep claimed that there is a RIM server problem. Currently yahoo email is taking about 30 mins to get to my phone where it use to take 1 to 2 mins, tops.

When did yours start going slowly? My girlfriend's just became problematic sometime last night/early this morning. Yesterday it was working fine.

Hers is still having issues. I have yet to experience any problems with my Yahoo account, which is my primary personal email address, though.

I'll have to see if things improve any overnight, and/or if they degrade for me. If there is still an issue we may bug a T-Mobile CSR to see if they tell us the same thing you heard from AT&T.

I didn't get in touch with T-Mobile because, as of this morning, I can no longer reproduce the issue. I tried sending mail to my girlfriend's Yahoo account both from my own Yahoo account and my Gmail account. In both instances, the messages appeared on her phone pretty much instantly.

Sorry...

Weird.

I just did another test, this time sending email from my BB to my girlfriend's Yahoo account. It was less than 10 seconds before she received it. I can't say why the issue seems to have cleared up for us.

Awesome! Glad to hear it's finally working for you. Yahoo mail was nice and steady for both my girlfriend and I all day today. Hopefully whatever issue was happening has been cleared up permanently!
