Default Using T-Mobile simcard on iPad 3G

Hey guys,

I have BB unlimited data plan with US T-Mobile which I'm currently using with my 9700. From my google search I found out it is possible to just cut out the regular-sized simcard to a micro-simcard and put it in an iPad. I'm also aware that T-Mobile uses a different frequency for 3G than other carriers, meaning I will only get EDGE instead of 3G if this method works on the iPad.

so is it possible for me to just request a twin simcard from T-Mobile (meaning using the same number that I'm currently using on my 9700, under the BB data plan) and just modify it to fit in an iPad?

You're talking about sim cloning. Nope can't do it. Some do anyway but it's illegal.

You need to get a separate data plan for 25 or 40 bucks and you'll get another sim. Put that into iPad and you're good to go.

your three options would be

1) [as mentioned] get a second SIM card, and data plan and use that
2) Get an android Phone, Root it and AD-HOC tether to it, but that is against the TOS for T-Mobile, but very doable.
3) Get an Android phone, Pay 14.99/month for Wi-Fi Tethering and do it the honest way..
