No the price of new phone if I was to upgrade the 9700 last week was 129, NOW 264.

It's like tmobile don't want you to get new phones!

I say go in store and talk with rep. I check tmo.com before I upgraded and the price listed on web was $200 something.. Went to the store and paid $129 and got my wifes cliq xt for free (BOGO event @ that time)

Wow, that's weird. Sounds rather glitchy. I would call in to T-Mobile and see what the upgrade price is for you on their end. It may be a glitch. I can't imagine t-mo jacking up the price so high for an upgrade on a 2 year contract.

I'm guessing it's a glitch too. I'm not looking to upgrade anytime in the near future.

264 for a upgrade that seems expenisve it should be less than that. Try goin to cartoys they got better prices then the T-mo stores

Probably a glitch, happened to me a few months ago when I was browsing my 9700 I have now. Was 129 and went back and was like pushing 300 dollars and was like WTF, but wasn't buying at that time anyway and went back a few days later and was 129 again, which is what I paid at the store.

You could have kept the same plan and prices as I did. I upgraded to the 9700 from 8320 and still paying 19.99 for the BB service/internet

Anyhow, back to the topic... I went to my Tmobile account and from the phones that are not upgraded I still see the 9700 for 129.99

Interesting, mine went from $129 to $264 for a 9700 on the line that is ready for an upgrade. I already upgraded the other line for $129 in January. Interestingly, for that line it would only be $379 to upgrade again already. Before I was upgrade-eligible, that would have been $429 (only $20 off full retail).

It Sounds like T-Mobile has instituted some new pricing policy. I'm glad I got in during the short window. Either that, or it's a glitch that'll be fixed Monday.

I was chatting with a cs rep a few minutes ago and also asked about the change in upgrade price. She was also showing $264 for the 9700, and although she wasn't certain, believed that the $125 was a special offer. If so, that truly sucks.
