Hint Hint* , call tmobile and ask to speak to customer loyalty, tell them AT&T is offering you a better deal on a curve, no rebates, no upgrade fee, and they will offer it to you!! Only downside is they ship the phone, takes about 2 days.

What if I went to the store and said that? I could play dumb and say I just saw the prices the other day of 150 bucks.

Yes, the August rebate was still $100 (so the after-rebate price was still $149 for 2 year contract or $199 for 1 year).

Must be the September rebate is reduced to $50, raising both prices by $50.

If you read the page before you get to the upgrade phone page it says that you need to have 22 months on a 2 year contract to qualify... if you go in before that time they have the prices jacked, and that would be what you need to pay today... my contract expires in January, so I get to upgrade in November, but I see the same thing for prices right now... I have to wait until November and then I should see the lower prices... I hate the wait!!!

Yeah, I never sign up for a 2-year contract, because I like being free to switch.

Signing up for the 2nd year usually only gets you a discount of ~$50 over the 1st year contract, which isn't enough savings for me to give up my freedom to leave in that 2nd year.

Have you actually done this before? Like what should I say?
