Default Upcoming BB's for T-Mobile?

Debating on whether to upgrade and get the 9700, or just wait it out for something better? Anyone know of any upcoming BB's for T-Mobile?

I don't know of any BBs in particular, but if I were you, I'd wait.

Look at the past timeline of Blackberry releases. RIM has really been churning them out. I would not be surprised to see another one drop by the end of the year.

The 9700 is nice but I'm waiting for a better BB that will hopefully have a faster, improved browser.

The end of the year? It's only January!
That's a long time to wait..... At least for me.

The 8910 is an Asian phone not intended for North America. The next BB should be the 9100 Pearl2.

There is always going to be something new. If you don't upgrade to the 9700 now and wait for the next new item then you are going to wonder if something newer is coming.

I think you need to ask yourself if you are happy with what you have and if there's a need to upgrade now.

In my case I went from the 8320 to the 9700. I didn't even think about it.

For tmo the 9700 is the best BB out.
Everything esle to that is comming is jsut refreshed curves with trackpads.
9700 is a nobrainer, its BB premium/flagship device. There really isnt going to be anything "better" for tmo by rim for a while IMO.

Perhaps we'll see a touchscreen one?

I don't know, I am going to wait and see.

I agree with your timetable Artemis and I suspect that you will not need to wait until the end of the year. My prediction is you'll see a new BB device of some sort well before the end of 2010.

Well I'm hoping so! We shall see. I can't wait to see what RIM has in store.

It's hard to imagine an improvement over the current 9700.

Actually its not that hard to top it. Any of these would be shocking, a combo would be a dream. Unfortunately by the time we do get anything like this, the competition will be years ahead. Just off the top of my head:

Throw in a touchscreen and qwerty
Up the memory to 512mb or even try 1gb
Up the resolution - let's see a 400x800 device
Bigger screen - I can see 1/2 inch of space on my 9700 that could be used for a larger screen
How about a 6+mp camera?
Front facing camera

Now all that being said, the 9700 is a great device- it will just grow old very quick judging by what the others have been working on and have started to show..

Even if that article is true and in 8910 is in the works, that phone would be destined for AT&T, not T-Mobile. If it was the 8920, then we'd be talking about a T-Mobile phone.
