Would anyone know if an unlocked Blackberry Bold would be compatible with Tmo's 3G network??

Not in the US. Just their 2G network, which I can live with. When I was in Europe last month, I'd often switch to 2G-only mode to conserve power.

In the US, for the BOLD
TM=EDGE
ATT=3G
that's it for now
It might change when TM makes their 2100 band 3G perhaps later this year

2G = EDGE. Not as fast as 3G but it's def still good.

I had an unlocked bold till yesterday...and while its no 8900.......man does it have some fantastic features.....and big rell.....that data will still be smoking fast on EDGE...and even better on your WifFi

Yea you just have EDGE on TMo. I'm currently on Edge with my Bold on Tmo. Its not that much slower than my friends Bold on ATT 3G though.

I wanted a unlocked Bold for TMO for the longest time! Then I thought about the lack of UMA. I'm at a wifi filled University I have the best reception here! Plus my contract ends soon and the 9700 comes out soon so that's gonna probably happen!

I haven't found much difference on a 2g network compared to mytouch's 3g on tmobile.
Infact, I much prefer the EDGE over the 3G as there isn't much difference in the speed.
