Default unlocked bb

I currently have a blackberry curve 8320, i was looking to buy an unlocked tmobile 8900, i was wondering how this would work with switching to the 8900. would i be able to register it on the network to use the bbm? would it be as simple as just switching the sim card?

You'd switch the sim card, and MAYBE have to use TMobile BIS to enter your new PIN and IMEI and you'd be all set. The change takes literally 5 minutes, including boot time of the Blackberry.

Pop in the SIM card, then open up the T-Mobile BIS on your desktop computer and change the PIN number from the old device's PIN to the new device's PIN. After you change that, send service books and you'll be rolling.

If you are purchasing a used (AKA ebay/craiglist) phone be sure that the PIN was released from the prior owner so that you can use it.
