Unlocked 9650 issues

I recently unlocked a verizon 9650 and now my facebook app won't work. It tells me i don't have sufficient network coverage but i do have the BB plan on my acct. Also every time i use the browser I go from EDGE to edge. Any suggestions on how to fix these problems or maybe a step by step since I'm pretty dumb when it comes to these kinda things

Did you manually load the Service Books?
Are you in a good data coverage area?
Are you getting a good signal?
Are the other data features working properly?

I have not loaded any books. How do I go about doing that? As for everything else..... I think everything else is working except for the fact that EDGE turns to edge whenever I use the browser and it seems like my BBM is working kind of slowly

Ok. Well, try the steps listed in that thread to manually load the Service Books and see if that works.

I will do that but I have that new blackberry desktop software and it doesnt have the options in it that the old desktop manager does. I cant find where to go to back up and restore>advance at on the new software.

I'm having the same trouble. I was able use that tutorial earlier to get the service book for WAP browser, but I still can't get edge to go to EDGE. I'm beginning to lose hope.

Well lets recap now.... so far I reloaded the old desktop manager.... and now I keep getting a I/O 1224 error so I cant get CrackUtil to work..... so now I dont know what to do and now I cant even use my browser.... This is getting stupid! Does anyone know what this i?S 1224 error is and how to fix it so I can get my phone back up and running.
