Default Unlimited text Plan Needed

Does anyone know how to get unlimited family texting ? I have 2 lines on my service plan. I heard the old plan was 9.99 but when I called they wouldn't honor it.

The 9.99 rate has been gone for two years at least, except for people who were grandfathered in. It was 19.99 until about 6 months ago, at which point it went to $24.99. If you've been a customer for >2 years, you may be able to get the $19.99 rate still, but not the $9.99

Yep this plan is grandfathered. I have it on my family plan. What's sweet about it is that for $9.99 it covers all the lines on my account (up to 5) with unlimited texting.

What exactly stinks about it? VZW and ATT are $30. Sprint is $20 but their plans are more.

I pay $24.99 for Unlimited Messaging for Families which covers all my five lines. It's grandfathered.

Things happen. Prices go up. The $9.99 was a promo. A very old one at that. Internet prices have gone up on every carrier at one point or another, so has text messaging. The only thing that has consistently gotten cheaper is minute plans, for the most part.

Carriers charging high prices for texting is the biggest rip off in the mobile world. It costs next to nothing to send 1000 text messages. Even on an unlimited plan, I dont see anyone using mroe than 50,000 texts a month. A good couple of dollars would cover the charges for "Unlimited" text messages.

Nothing is sold at cost. Not in wireless, not at a grocery store, not at a clothing store. A business has to make money in order to remain a business. It's a revenue source.

Wanna come work for me? I'll pay you cost. That means I'll fill your gas tank and feed you. That's it. Your labor doesn't actually cost you anything, so I get as much of that as I want for free.

I'm sorry fail to see where I said that any carrier should sell anything at cost. Like any business, carriers should make a profit to stay in business. There is a fine line between making a profit and just plain being greedy which is what I was implying.

I swear people nowadays people start reading words that are not there.

Oh and dchawk81, there are people in the world who do that for a living. I am not one of them, I personally love what I do and the people I work for love what I do for them. Thanks for the offer though!
