I pre-ordered a Nokia N900 through Amazon. According to this "Project Dark/Black" there will be the 3G Blackberry 9700 and Nokia N900 (early 2010).

Now.... Unlimited EVERYTHING for $50.00 on a Blackberry would ROCK! Time to sell the 8900 and get the 9700

I am already on the unlimited loyalty plan with a corporate discount. I sure hope this gets extended to existing loyalty customers and just not new subscribers???

Didn't TMo just get rid of that loyalty unlimited plan, just recently?

Somehow I don't think this is true.

sounds about right considering when i had suncom that's what I paid for everything unlimited and they weren't letting me keep it so A LOT of us defected. they essentially lost a tone of hospital employees and families because they screwed us when they bought suncom out

How amazing would that be? $50 seems kind of low to just be giving it away to everyone. If it was for loyalty customers like crackfinder mentioned, that would make more sense.

This would be right in time for me as I want 9700, am currently not under contract and looking for ways to lower my bill (although I only pay $55 a month, but that would change with the purchase of a bb). I hope this is exactly what "project dark" is...

If there is a catch to it, it couldn't possibly be something so big that it would make me not want to do it.

I already have UNLIMITED EVERYTHING on two lines at about $75 dollars per line before taxes and such (see my info by my name),
so if this were to be true, it would save me $50 dollars a month.

Here are reasons this won't do me any good...

I'd bet anything it's going to be for NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY, possibly only those porting from another carrier.

Existing customers like myself will have to stay on a loyalty plan.

I have TWO 8900's and have NO desire or need to upgrade, because the only "upgrade" T-Mobile will be offering is the 9700, and IMO isn't enough "upgrade" to justify doing a new two year contract for.

With that said, you KNOW T-Mobile won't let you change to "$50 dollar unlimited everything" without a new phone and new contract.

We will all just have to wait and see if it really comes to pass, and then see what the exact details are, I have a feeling "loyal customers" are going to be left out on this one.

Well lets keep in mind that T-Mobile has typically been the economical choice compared to the other carriers....that was all they had to offer because their network wasn't as robust as Verizon, Sprint, or AT&T. So T-Mobile had a different demographic as compared to the "top" carriers. Now enter Boost, Mobile, Virgin, Cricket, etc. and T-Mobile is stuck right in the middle between the top carriers and the bottom feeders that offer a lower end plan than them. Their 3G network is still immature and they are getting eaten for lunch by the bottom feeders....so they have to do something.....it very well could be true. Remember....you can never play the middle and win.

Does anybody know of a plan on any of the USA networks which has unlimited international texts for a fee?

Wow this would be SO awesome!

I wonder if I'd be able to use BB data on it. or I'd be willing to pay a little extra (like 15 bucks)
Wow! Well let's just wait and see if this is true!
