Exclamation UMA to EDGE hand-off issue... HELP!

I've had the following issue since day 1 with my 8900 Blackberry. I use the UMA feature a lot for calling and have found the UMA to EDGE hand-off a little rough and downright frustrating. My calls repeatedly drop/disconnect if and when I walk far enough away from my/any WiFi router. Shouldn't the phone make a smooth transition from UMA over to EDGE while a phone call is in place? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How many bars of EDGE do you have in the area? If you don't have good EDGE coverage, you're gonna have this issue handing off from UMA to EDGE. The same for going from EDGE to UMA.

I've had the Curve 8320 for almost 2 years. I'm computer literate, etc, and I have yet to switch from UMA to EDGE without dropping the call. Its NEVER happened, so I just resign to the fact that it won't happen. I have all my router settings tweaked to match that of Tmo's router, I've gone through two OS upgrades and still nothing fixes that nonsense. Its way annoying and I hate to say- I think you're gonna have to live with it.

"Allow inter-access point handover" is the setting being referenced above. If you go to the manage connections, then choose setup wifi connections, and select your network, and choose "edit" you'll find the option. This should be checked/selected.
