Default UMA available addon 9.99 for EM & EM+

Hey Guys,

I was on the phone with a rep trying to figure a few things on my account.

He informed me that the unlimited hotspot calling(9.99) is available for EM and EM+ has a addon.

here is the link Unsupported Browser

Now we can all put to the rest that UMA is not going away.

This will make EM+ a even better value then anything out there.

Interesting thanks for telling.

I know of a current UMA add-on for the EM and EM+ but it's 15 for EM and 10 for EM+...

Either way, UMA is here to stay

They just renamed the UMA feature. I think it's talk forever or some PC name like that. UMA isn't going away.

If it's called "Talk Forever" they are most likely referring to the home phone, which explains the $10 and $15 price points. I've heard no communication on keeping the UMA calling

I could see them dropping the unlimited Wi-Fi calls but still keeping the UMA feature for use with @Home and such.

I finally made the decision to go for the EM+ 1500 Family Plan (talk, text, and web) and I can confirm that the unlimited UMA calling add-on is not compatible with the EM+ plan.
I also added another line (5 lines altogether--one is Tmo@Home); 1500 family minutes, unlimited web on the first two lines, and unlimited texts for all of us for $158/mo. Not too bad!

So they charge you $10.00 to use your own wifi connection? Wow they are smart.

No, it's just so you can get unlimited min over wifi. You can use UMA at any time without cost but it'll come out of your bucket.

Just doesnt make sense, If I am not using tmobiles bandwith then they should pay me for using my own wifi. Not the other way around.

But if you are using your own bandwidth, supposedly you can't place calls. You are paying the built-in feature on their hardware that other carriers don't have.

Think about overage costs vs the measily $10 you pay as an add-on.

My wife and I share a 700 minute plan and we never go over. So when I am at home and my phone is connected to wifi I should not be charged. Its a scam a way to get $9.99 out of a feature that costs them nothing other than offering it, adn advertising fees. It really is genious on their part.
