    Default Tmobile OS 7.1 update

So can anyone on here confirm if the Tmo update is stable? And if they used DM or OTA to upgrade. I'm still running stock 7.0 which works relatively well. Some audio glitches and Visual voice mail issues but other than that it works pretty well.

It works fine for me. I can't compare to other versions of 7.1.

My addvice is do not upgrade OTA. It takes a long time, and there are reports of it taking hours in some cases.

Copy that. Always connect and use DM. I've been running 7.1.0.284 since release and it's awesome, no complaints.

Ok good to know. I've just heard a few people making the update and losing some functionality or having hardware issues to the point that they are making hardware exchanges.

Do you have to reinstalled apps and such after the OS update?

So I did the update using DM. Took about 30 min once I got the most current version of DM install.

Overall the phone seems about the same. There is still a memory leak and overall free memory is lower than on 7.0. I had to delete quite a few native apps and I'm still only at 160mb free after a reboot. The music player still has glitches as before ie. when you pause a track you'll get some aberrant audio volume issues. Doesn't seem like it would be a problem except that some of my music sounds distorted. Also noticed while listening to music using headphones some notification sounds don't come through. Once there was a very loud blib that almost blew out my ear drums. Scared me. Hopefully it was a fluke.

Wifi calling is there now although I haven't tried it. I'm tempted to check out mobile hotspot but I'm afraid I'll be charged as my plan doesn't include a tethering plan. Does it matter?

Overall maybe the phone seems a little snappier and battery life is a little better. I never really had terrible battery life to begin with.
