Default Tmobile customers win regardless of the merger

If youre with tmobile now, you can get grandfathered if the merger with att does happen. If Att doesn't let people get grandfathered then its a violation of the contract and customers can leave for free.

Athough if Att does acquire tmobile, they will probably be the largest carrier in the US.

And if the Merger is not approved, AT&T owes T-Mobile $3 Billion and spectrum! I'm going to give T-Mobile a spin as soon as the 9860 is available.

Yay, we can leave for free, with nowhere to go...

Merger 'win'? Say you have, or you want, GSM service and phones in the US.
Where will you run to if there is a merger of the two dominant GSM players?

So,
you think breaking a sweetheart grandfathered plan is great? NOT.
I 'worked' ten years for what I got, just to say bibi? Think again.

I do not own ATT stocks. I could not care in the least if there is an ATT breakup fee.

Yes, you can get grandfathered in, but if you want to upgrade your phones and get a discount, they force you to change your plan, no?

If you read their statements, ATT never mentions that this merger will be good for prices, just that they are giving us benefits "that the consumer wants"... Not this consumer.

The whole thing really sickens me because I know the merger will be approved and not because it will be good for consumers. I'm sure ATT's lobbyists are in full payout mode right now. Seriously, what's the last big merger that WASN'T approved? At least they should drag it out for 18 months and pretend to look into it deeply like they did with the Sirius/XM merger. You all remember that daily-life threatening merger that affected less than 20 million consumers...right?

This merger is a no win for current TMO customers because AT&T sucks. They do not know the concept of customer service. Their attitude is 'we're AT&T and you'll do it our way or no way.'

I need to start taking a closer look at Verizon & Sprint.

Hmm, I guess I'm the only Tmo customer that would lose if the merger goes through. Right now the only way I have coverage is through UMA, and this is not a service that AT&T will carry so... lose lose for me.

Good point. Regret there are tons of other reasons why the merger is a terrrrrrible deal.

If there's no UMA support and they scrap the EMP+ plans, then that's it for me.

I would rather give up the phone completely than go with att.

What I am afraid might happen is the customer on T-Mobile that recently renewed they're agreement may/will have to switch there device to a att phone because the tmo 3G 4G will not be supported any longer or so I have heard what a waste. I'm sure they will give you this option like you can still use your phone on edge but if you want to continue to use 3/4G that you must swap your handset for one of ours hopefully it won't put us on a ATT slave contract smh. UMA I'm going to truly miss you ugh.

But thank got we have the new value plan I don't care ill pay retail for a handset with a MRC like those no problem even if they take EIP away no biggie just save you pennies. And one more thing sence both carriers share the MAJORITY!!! Of the same towers DON'T expect better coverage ctfu I'm staying either way I'm just a RSA so my plans cheap.
