Default Tmobile Cancels Paperless Transition

So I searched and I cant find a thread so let's pass the word.....

TMO has decided to no longer force the paperless issue......apparently there was a lawsuit.....

those of you who frequent this CB TMO forum know my feeling on the matter but heres a link to the TMO forum for the official statement......please keep your posts on topic and save the negative comments about TMO.....or I will move to immediately have it removed...thanks

I was happy to hear this. I like a paper bill and I pay T-mobile enough so my paper bill should be included.

I think it's good. I couldn't see the paper charge going for much longer. While I am paperless and I think it's easier and more earth-friendly, there are many older people who use T-Mobile who may not be comfortable with email and getting bills through that...if they have email at all.

Didn't those of us with older contracts( I have no idea about the new ones) have them saying somewhere about receiving billing details each month in statements?

Sorry if this was mentioned before. there were so many posts about the charge my eyes would start glazing over after the first few

I am glad T-Mobile saw the light and changed their minds about this. IF they were not cheaper than most carriers I would have cancelled and switched simply due to how they were treating those that could not use the internet or told them to go to the library. This reeked like a bank did asking the armless man for his thumb print to cash a check and then turning him away when he pointed out he didn't have any!

good grief.......so because TMOBILE is the MOST cost effective carrier and tried to keep the bottom line cost down by saving on postal fees and printing costs....which coasts 330K a quarter...TMO is the bad guy?

And its tmo's fault that older folks for instance are not capable of using the internet?.....these are the same older folks who in the recent CNN episode said "screw" us younger folks as long as they get there social security and medicare ...that they could care less if it's there for us in 20 years...ya I'm REAL worried about their not being able to get the paper bill and how unfair it is to that 3% of the subscriber base....lmaoooooooo

Granted, some older folks are crabby but I can't blame them. If I was retired, losing my teeth/hair, not getting sex, having health prob, and watching as my life dwindles down...boy, I'd be pretty crabby too.

What CNN episode was this? It's sad that some older people would say "screw you" as our generation will be the ones who have to take care of them...they need us more than they think!

On a related note, T-Mobile could encourage paperless billing another way...

1 dollar savings. Go paperless and you can save $1 off your bill. Don't go paperless and your bill stays the same.
That way, no one is forced to pay more, people can save a little, t-mobile saves on postage still (more people may switch to paperless) and everyone's happy.

They did an episode about 6 weeks ago on how lopsided social security was....seniors with millions in the bank demanding they receive their checks.....even though the system was created as a safety net not as a pay out....people argue the system is a pay in pay out but it was created as a welfare program by Roosevelt......so when confronted with there overwhelming affluence these so called inept seniors who were a cross section said they could care less if GEN X/Y collected as long as they received there checks and benefits........anyway Im on my anti-senior soapbox since.....I'm running for office here in VA in 2013 and all the senior groups Ive come in contact with are very demanding and self centered....theres little concern for any other groups.....and a total attitude of entitlement...

Personally, I don't know what the big damn deal is. So you pay $1.99. After taxes or whatever, it's $30/year. You don't even notice it's gone, really - you probably throw that away on something stupid like candy for your kids or yourself! (and I'm generalizing, not directing that at anyone, lol)

Truthfully, you get a free summary bill. If you really need to know who calls you / texts you and vice versa in such detail, go to your account online and print off the nitty gritty yourself and stop whining. (again, generalizing) The guy / people suing TMO over this whole thing won't see their money returned, they'll be too busy paying lawyer fees. Just sayin'.

Not even in the same ballpark.

I do sympathize for that guy though, the bank he went to is probably now viewed as the worst place for customer service...

So....are you moving to have the thread removed now that you yourself took it off topic...LOL....sorry I couldn't resist.

The fee will be back... There are other utilities out there who charge for detailed billing which is essentially the same thing. I trhink AT&T does this too. I like the idea of getting break in bill for going paperless. I prefer everything paperless...I get enough crap in the mailbox and pay all my bills online.

Anybody could of seen T-Mobile was eventually going to cancel the paperless transition, because of the outcry and people actually porting to other carriers.
