Default TMO, G2 and HSPA+ !!!

USA News,

T-Mobile G2 will be an Android 2.2-based smartphone and it will be the first handset that will have support for the HSPA+ network, that is expected to offer speeds next to 4G. T-Mobile also put up a promo page which contained a few details about the upcoming T-Mobile G2 phone, but after sometime the website was taken down . Still, you can go to T-Mobile’s website and you will be able to register yourself for receiving news about the official release date of the T-Mobile G2.

Note: There is a link on the site below for TMO's for preregister for insider info.

more here ~> T-Mobile G2 Release Date – SoftSailor

I'm excited. I really thought that this was going to be the MyTouch HD. Seeing that this is actually going to be the once thought gone G2 is amazing. Still no solid info on this, but looks like this may be not only the G1's replacement, but possibly a Nexus replacement as well. Can't wait till I hear juicy details about this.

The G2 is not the HTC Magic, it is the HTC Vision.

Any idea if the G2 is rumored future Android phone to support UMA?

Artemis, this is not the UMA phone. New rumor is that the Charm may have "UMA-lite". Sidekick may support it as well, but that's a Q1/Q2 2011 release as of now.

"UMA-lite"? No clue what that is...:O never heard of it. Hmm...

Yeah I heard the Charm had UMA (of some sort) and that's a "low end" Android so I thought G2 would have UMA for sure.

Looks like we will have to wait and see!

Here's some more pics...

T-Mobile G2 again, this time with less Mr. Blurrycam - Engadget Galleries

Engadget thought it had a titling screen, but that's not the case.

It was pointed out to me that the original G1 had a similar mechanism.
