TMO 9700 not get signal from ATT tower

Good morning. I am new at this but I am hoping someone can help.I havve a T-mobile 9700. I just moved and have no reception. I am past the towers range. Bought a ATT go phone and it works great. So I unlock my 9700, verified that it is unlocked, and put in the sim card from the ATT go phone. The 9700 shows in red SOS next to the signal strength icon. I have tried everything and it will not see the ATT tower. Put the ATT sim back in the go phone and get full reception bars. What could possibile be the problem? Thank you

I think you have to buy a reg sim from the att store. I maybe wrong but my friend did that and it worked

I agree with the first poster. I'm not sure what's going on exactly, but maybe going to the ATT store and getting a real SIM card would be what's best.

I know that T-Mobile prepaid SIMs and postpaid SIMs don't have any real difference. (My postpaid SIM broke one time, and I could replace it with a prepaid that I got at Radioshack!) but it may be different for AT&T. It couldn't hurt to try.

I have tmo and constantly get sos from att towers. My brother got an hd2 and sitting next to me has no such issues. Very frustrating. Subscribing
