Default Thinking of switching to T-Mobile

I'm currently with AT&T and between the new T-mobile plan Unlimited Family Plans | Best Plan Ever | T-Mobile and being fed up with when AT&T might release the 9900 (which I could get right now on T-Mobile). I'm considering switching my wife and I over.

Anyone else made a similar switch? Wish you hadn't or sorry you didn't sooner? Just trying to get some other opinions.

Thanks.

i did the switch a few weeks ago. 100 for 2 lines unlimited everything was a really good deal. only catch is you have to pay full retail for the phone. but i did the math and its still a better deal in the long run.

i came from att also. att for 5 yrs. just tired of their BS and most recently how they treated my mother when her 6 month old phone stopped working and they refused to help her. soon as her contract is up, im sure she'll have no issue switching to a new carrier.

Does that $100 include BIS?

Friendly advice, DON'T DO IT. I've regretted going with them from the first week. Nothing but bogus charges, crappy signal, being throttled every month for going over alotted data, and the nasiest most dishonest costumer (dis) service reps. Really really bad. That's no way to run a business. They're a pack of crooks. Friends and family have expierianced the same thing. We can't wait for our contracts to be up.

I've been a TMO customer for almost four years and I've always been happy with them. Everywhere I travel to I have service. Their customer service was always top notch until recently so I find it hard to believe your claims. Many can say they're happy with their service. If you were unhappy with them from the first week, you had plenty of time to cancel the service ETF free. As far as the coverage goes, did you even checked if your area was covered? Most people do research. My coverage is excellent with minor areas where I don't get service and that's in the woods. None of the big three can match TMO in pricing. If you're very unhappy with their service, pay the ETF fees because I am sure AT&T (expensive), Sprint (decent plans, unlimited data), and Verizon (expensive) are waiting to rape you with their expensive plans.

I came to T-Mobile from Verizon in June. Thus far I have been well pleased with T-Mobile. Verizon's customer service was horrible if I ever dealt with them online or on the phone. Even going to the Verizon store to deal with someone face to face was a pain. CS reps would smile and treat me well, but I always noticed that my monthly bill would go up after the experience, even though I tried to downgrade my plan to save money. Now, I'm almost pleasantly surprised when I call my phone carrier. My CS experience has gone quite well, even when I had to have my phone replaced because of a camera issue. Not to mention I get way more for less money with T-Mobile. I say go for the switch.

T-mobile used to be good but time and greed has killed a once diecent carrier. Their customer dervice sucks so bad it not funny what so ever! I get crappy signal but the their coverage map is showing dark green. One of their latest moves was to move everyones payment day back 8 days without so much as a notice to anyone. My payment was do on the 1rst of every month for four years. They changed eveyones date without notice. I pay $165 and now some how come up with $330 to pay twice or have my phone shut off suffer late fees and or reconnect fees and they di that on purpose so they can collect late fees...go to T-MOBILE SUPPORT FORUMS you see for yourself. When I called about the billing change the lady was rude and I told her how the cows eat the cabbage and she took my 3g connection and throttled it to edge and she was a supervisor! I had to call back and the next lady I talked to well I told her my connection was slow and the first thing she said was there is a tower down and I said bs my girlfriends 9700 is running fine so she says, well to be honest your connection has been throttled so she fixed and my connection was good again.Trust me t-mobile is shady and I agree with them being crooks!

Yep. Been with them for 8 or 9 years. The last 2 years have been a real change. Customer Service is now rude or worse. They change the plan details all the time. I'm out as soon as I can. Price is great but as they say "You get what you pay for".

My payment due date has always been on the 16th. No change for me here. I do agree with you with their customer service. It does suck. They were the best before but after this merger crap, it went down hill. Last night I called to cancel one of my lines and I was on hold for an hour and ten minutes. It took me six minutes to cancel my line for a total of an hour and fifteen minutes. I have NEVER waited that long to speak to someone. The most must have been fifteen minutes but that was when they had a snowstorm. Now we get people from around the world but get someone in the States in retentions. Go figure that one out. My service still rocks and I've never had billing issues but their customer service is horrible now.

If the coverage is good in your area I would advise the switch. TMO has been great for me. I have always had good customer support and the price is about 33% cheaper over a two year contract. It is possible the very vocal complainers are high maintenance customers.

lately its been night and day with t-mo, sometimes i call t-mo and get the nicest cs rep, and after 14 yrs w them and lately its been a crap shoot, most are RUDE, and seem to not like there jobs to much, or going along with the new plan it seems to provide TERRIBLE CUSTOMER service to all. There definitely has been a big change with them and how they treat customers.

I still get good coverage and it is hard to beat the plan I am on, but their once #1 in CS has gone way down the hill. I mean I haven't had it as has as some have had it here, however I have had outsourced reps and if it wasn't that then it was a rude American having I guess a bad day! Like others have mentioned it seems the CS has gotten worse since the merger thing was announced.

Wondering how that is going by the way. Last I heard the FCC and DJO wasn't going to approve it.

I hope they don't as I love my plan and enjoy the phone choices. Going on 4 years now with them. I refuse to go at&suck and Big Red is to rich for my blood. If all else fails, dumbphone here I come!

Hi,
I considered T-Mobile but every time I went to look at their devices or just the stores I left before anyone acknowledged I was there.
Service was terrible. If you are looking for a low cost all you can eat deal Sprint should be pretty good.

I had Sprint before and was decent. I did forget about them. Probably where I would end up with if this merger goes through.

You know what happens when you assume...

I've called 3x in the last 1 1/2 years. You can't get a straight answer and everytime you ask a question they act like you're challenging them...
