Thinking about exchanging because of a bad trackpad

I've had my 9700 for about a week and noticed I have one of the loose trackpads. How is the whole exchange process work. How do I transfer all of my apps to a new phone? I'm only familer with the device switch wizard on DM. Do I go through TMo or Blackberry? I know a few have been though this before. Thanks for any help.

If it's under 14 days on a contracted upgrade, or 30 days on a non-contracted one, the exchange is done in store if it was purchased in store. If it was purchased through care, they handle the return. If it's a store return, bring the box and receipt

You also can start a device transfer, return the old phone (if it's in store) and finish it when you get home. Or just run a full backup through DM, and restore it to the new phone.
