1. Dial 611
2. Say English
3. If the automated system tells you have a special deal, say no.
4. Then, the automated system will ask you what it can help you with, say, "Retentions" or "Loyalty Department" and it should mention, "Okay, Canceling your service. Please hold on while I get someone who can help."
5. IF you get a CSR, mention a friend of yours was recently able to get Family Unlimited Texting for $9.99 and would like to get that offer. Remember to be nice to them and ask how they are doing. And, if they say that they don't offer it, then tell them that your friend has been with t-mobile for about 9-10 years and was able to get it added on yesterday. But also explain how long you were with them so they can do something about it because they want you to stay a loyal customer. If they don't, ask them to transfer you to the loyalty department, or have them contact the loyalty department themselves.

NOTE: If the CSR doesnt really do anything about it whatsoever, then hangup and call again. There were many cases that people had to call in about 2 times min, and about 6times max. They gave it to me in one try.. ALSO, this only applies to FAMILY plans and not INDIVIDUAL plans

So is that offer real, or are you basically lying your way through to cheap texting service?

Is that by any chance for a few months only, or is it for the rest of your two year contract?

I had a problem with T Mobile a while back and when I talked to Loyalty Department I was given $9.99 unlimited text for three months. Could it be something like that?

Interesting, we just upgraded to the unlimited family voice plan for 89.99 yesterday, I'm wondering if we should call back, lol.

Edit: Spoke to 2 CSRs and they said nope, it was an offer way back when, but it's no longer in the system, and they can't add it to anyone's plans.

tell them that your family member just added it on "yesterday" and they should look into it... that is what i said. the rep originally told me that they didnt even offer it anymore, but i kept telling the rep that my friend just got it yesterday and he has been a customer for about 10 years.... if they dont, tell them to ask the loyalty department

and yes. my advice is to keep calling them... different reps are better than others.
