Tethering my 9700 on T-Mobile

Ok, my question is, I have no issues using my 9700 as a modem until i go to connect remotely to my desktop in my office. It will not allow me to connect, is there a special setting I am missing does anyone know? I tried from my home and using my cable connection I was able to sign on instantly like normal then I switched to my BB and it would not allow the connection.

Being that you are @ work your IT department has a firewall in place not allowing any other modem to be used other than the one they have preset for you. I know at my work i cannot use my 9700 as a modem due to firewalls.
