Default Tethering 8320 Curve with Vista

My speeds are slower than acceptable when I tether my 8320 Curve with my Sony Vaio using Vista.

Is there anything I can do to bring speeds up to 3G levels without changing phones?

What are your speeds like without tethering? It'll depend on where you're located and how strong the signal is.

Well with the device limitation set at EDGE speeds, you won't be able to get around that.

clean up the device and allow more memory. my sister has the 8320 and its faster than mine...she has almost no apps and i had her delete most of the theme downloads she had. this increased her speeds.

I live in Metro Milwaukee and tethering gets me up to 200k. There are 3 towers within 5 miles of where I live.
With the Curve 8320 it probably will not get faster than that.
