T-Mobile... still a "family/teen carrier" or heading more towards the business world?
This is all my opinion, so don't get any wrong ideas lol.
In the past years, T-Mobile was always the carrier that appealed to families because of their great family plans and their not-so-pricey phones. The carrier also appealed to teens because of the infamous Sidekick (like myself), which imo, has really been one of the best selling phones since its first debut.
As technology advances, I guess T-Mobile is realizing that 2G is becoming old-fashioned quicker than they realized and an abundant number of people would prefer 3G over the more slower EDGE service and is the last carrier to support 3G service. All the new devices T-Mobile is rolling out and more devices supporting 3G is helping the carrier get more customers, especially corporate customers.
I think corporate users are gearing towards T-Mobile as it continues to expand their 3G coverage and release more 3G-capable phones. T-Mobile will still appeal to the younger generation just because the younger generation are still trying to keep up with technology just like adults, but will still attract more corporate people. At least they don't have ridiculously priced plans like AT&T does. What do you guys think?
Btw, the new sidekick that's supposed to come out sometime this year is supposed to have 3G, 3.2 MP camera, and running OS 5.0, which means that almost every LX user will upgrade to the 'Sidekick 2009', and maybe produce an even bigger sale of the phone than the LX did when it first was released. I guess danger and microsoft really stepped it up from the LX.
