Default T-Mobile Service in the Northeast

I am considering leaving AT&T for T-Mobile to take advantage of UMA. I live in the Springfield, MA area and travel throughout new england, NY, NJ, and PA. Wondering if others in these areas have good coverage with T-Mobile service? Thanks for your help!!

I live in the Philadelphia region, and I think the TMO service is quite good. I've never had any problems with dropped calls or bad reception or anything.

Upstate NY here and service is ok. Kind of like Jancy, it's not the best but it def gets the done. Where I am I rarely encounter GPRS (always on EDGE) and frequently stream radio when I drive.

Lancaster, Pa and service works fine except some back funky roads. i do notice I don't get as good of service near Gettysburg area once I get in some lesser areas. Up and down 81 area does fine. I travel it all the time through 3 states

I'm in the Philadelphia area (Suburbs, 95 corridor) and have had no problems with coverage; no dropped calls, very good reception.

There has only been one place that I have ever lost coverage at in over a year and that was out in a tiny town, with 1 streetlight and no cell towers, about 10 miles outside of Easton.

I am on T-mobile in NH. There is good coverage in most areas except in the north. T-mobile has AT&T and Unicell as roaming partners. UMA is great and many hotspots available

I was just up there this summer and my service was great. PA, NJ, and NY I've tested my phone in these areas. Upstate New York towards Orange County and most likely above that has shaky areas for sure. Rockland County, Manhattan, and the surrounding Burroughs are great though.

Coverage was good when I lived in NYC. I've travel many times through NJ with no issues. Philly's coverage is good also. Overall, I'm happy with TMO.

I'm from the Rochester area. I've also been through Syracuse and Buffalo quite a bit.

I'm in a small town outside of Rochester so coverage is a little spotty but when I'm in Rochester it's all 5 bars. You'll be fine traveling in that area, trust me. Just watch out a little if you're going through a lot of countryside or high valley areas, like Naples or wherever.

I wouldn't worry about traveling to PA. While coverage is spotty in the small town I go to college (30 min south of Erie) I've had 100% coverage when traveling to PA. Streamed radio the whole way!

I think you'll be fine. If there's any issue with coverage, there is always UMA.

I used to live and travel out there years ago and it was good even then. You can go to TM and do a coverage check for any zip or address.
