Default T-Mobile To Introduce Lower Priced Unlimited Plans

T-Mobile USA is planning to slash the price of its unlimited plans for individual users on both its postpaid and no-contract offerings, according to the blog TMoNews.

According to the blog, which cited an unnamed source, on Feb. 23 the nation's No. 4 carrier will drop the price of its unlimited postpaid plan, called Even More, from $99.99 per month to $79.99 per month. Additionally, the blog said, the no-contract unlimited plan, called Even More Plus, down to $69.99 per month from $79.99. Each of those plans offers unlimited voice, texting and web browsing. The blog said that the changes are being made to coincide with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S 4G, T-Mobile's latest HSPA+ smartphone, which can reach theoretical peak data speeds of up to 21 Mbps.

Its on alot of other sites 2, just didnt feel like posting them. I like this alot considering i already pay 79.99 for unlimited. Now i get 10 bucks off. Whats even better now is i can go back to a contract plan and pay 79.99 and get my phone discount, but ill wait till a good blackberry comes out.

Nice to know its the equivalent of my loyalty plan. T-Mobile must be doing everything they can to jump out of the No. 4 spot.

If this plan allows for monthly discounts, I'm switching from my loyalty plan for sure. I don't get my 10% off the loyalty plan but maybe on this one, I will.

I doubt it. I work for the city and im supposed to get a discount but they dont give it for even more or even more plus plans. Reason being " The plans are already discounted very much " , from the customer service person. Im not going to complain about it though. You gunna be paying 69.99 or 79.99 for unlimited everything when its about 130 or 140 on att or verizon. Good Job again tmobile.

I get 10% off of my monthly bill because I have a corporate discount on my account.
of course, I have unlimited loyalty so I don't get a discount from the voice part of my plan at all.

I am not sure about this. I know EM+ doesn't allow corporate discounts but I am pretty sure EM does. I am going to ask around.

If it doesn't allow discounts, I'm sticking my Unlimited Loyalty plan.

My gf is currently on the EM 500 ($39.99) + unlimited text ($10) on her BB 8520. We also have the @Home service for $15/mo. She also has the AAA 14% discount being applied monthly. She does NOT have any data plan on the BB.

She is thinking of getting rid of the @Home service since we rarely use it, and change her plan to the current limited time promotion offer EM 1500 Talk + Unlimited Text + Unlimited Data for $79.99.

But now with the newer EM unlimited plan rumored to come out on the 23rd, we're not sure what we should do.

Questions:

1. I'm not sure if the AAA discount will continue when she switches over to the new plan. Does anyone know?

2. Will the new EM Unlimited plan, which includes "mobile web" work on her BB?

Nice! Hopefully that'll put some pressure on Sprint, since it's the same price as their 700 minutes + everything else plan with the $10 increase.

Hello everyone! I'm currently on the $99.99 Even More Unlimited Individual plan. I wonder if T-Mobile will force me to sign another 2-yr contract just to change my plan to that $79.99 plan. I'm currently paying about $115 (taxes included) a month on my phone.

My problem is I have a legacy plan. 300 MyFaves minuets, unlimited BB, 400 text messages and HotSpot @ Home for $74.99. My current contract runs until Nov 2011 and if I change anything now it will cost me $200. So I have to wait until then to make the switch.

How long have you been with TMOBILE?
You know you can get free wifi added to that plan if you ask real nice
When I say free I mean FREE all around. It costs nothing and whenever you are connected to your @ Home router wifi signal with your wifi capable phone
( I see you have the Bold) your minutes don't get deducted from you bucket. The free only applies to the registered cell phone for that account not all your friends who come over with their cell phones

I've been with TMO since Dec 2007 and currently pay $9.99 for the unlimited WiFi/UMA calling (Talk Forever).

Are you saying that if I'm real nice they will waive the $9.99?
