Default t-mobile free tethering no more!

To all t-mobile users beware when changing your acoount plans this happened to me this is my story...I was on flex pay for two years mainly because I do not talk that much on my device. I mainly use it to access the enternet and as a tethered modem as I live in a old house that has wiring problems and having a landlord that doesn't believe in fixing things so phone lines remain unfixed. So when the 9780 came out I wanted it but wasn't going to pay for it with cash so I signed another two year and got a post paid acount. Low and behold the minute I got of the phone with the rep I went to tether my phone and t-mobile turned it off!! Grrr so I called t-mobile again and the rep told me sorry but anyone who changes there acount is getting charged for tethering and that everyone is starting to use this service and that t-mobile is ganging up on the consumer. So wtf what a way to treat a loyal customer I am now paying over a hundred dollars for 500 min and everything unlimited tethering now cost me 14.99 a month and if I go over 5 gigs I get dropped to edge what a way to do bussiness!!!

You're paying over 100/month for 500 min and unlimited everything? You're paying too much if you're a loyal customer. I pay less than you and I have unlimited minutes.Maybe you could call in and see if there is a better plan for you.

As for the tethering, I suggest Googling "t-mobile user agent tether workaround" and go to the first result there. You want to modify your browser's User Agent string (UA). Then you won't need it.

As long as you stay under 5GB, I don't see the big deal. It's not abuse.

Tether app is fine. I'm using it myself.
