Default T-mobile Flex pay questions

Well I just came from my local T mobile store and have a couple of questions about their flex pay plan. first off I was approved for their flex pay annual account, this is the one where they give you the phone at the discounted price. The sales rep said that I couldn't add the international dialing plan or send/receive international texts because this is a flex pay account,is he correct about this? Will my Tmobile phone work in outside the U.S. even if it is on the flex pay annual plan?

I know there are some restrictions on the flex pay plans like no hotspot use,but are there any others? Are there any other pros/cons about the flex pay plans and the annual plan I was approved for?

I'm late to the party, but this could also be good info for future Flexpay users.

The sales rep was incorrect. You can add international discount dialing to a Flexpay account for $5, just like normal. You MUST have money in your Flex Account, because it will debit the per-minute rate from that balance.

Receiving international texts while you're in the US is no different than receiving a text from your friend down the street with AT&T. If you have a messaging bundle, it counts against that. If not, you'll be charged $0.20 from your Flex account balance.

Sending international text messages from the US cost $0.35 each, debited from your Flex account. If you are out of country, the same rules apply for text messages. Free to receive (Assuming you have messaging on your plan) and $0.35 to send.

The UMA calling SOC is not available with Flexpay, you're right. Also, certain promo SOCs are not available, like the current 30 days free of Web2Go. Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Let me know if there are any other questions, Flexpay or otherwise
