Default T-Mobile credit check - WOW!

If you've been thinking about T-mobile service, but maybe like me your credit is less than stellar.....go into the store and find out.

I went today. And I'm tellin ya, my credit is bad.

I was approved for up to 3 lines with NO DEPOSIT.

So, don't think you are a hopeless case or will automatically have to pay a big deposit! Of course, your mileage may vary.

I have a similar story with Virgin Mobile Canada. And like the OP my credit is... shall we say... LESS then stellar.

After the usual waiting in suspense while the sales rep clicks, stares at the screen, "hmmm..."'s a few times. Clicks... hmmmm.... click click click. Hmmmm...

*I start to worry*

"Well sir, you are approved for up to 5 lines, with full data package if you like. What kind of services were you interested in?"

*I ponder cartwheeling around the store and down the mall*

Hmmm....well unfortunately....

I just got off the phone with T-mobile. Wanted to verify roaming in my area (Valdosta GA.) before I made a final phone decision for tomorrow. Glad I did.

Basically there are many areas where there are no roaming agreements. And that's really unfortunate because there's no way I can afford to have no service as much as my business depends on my traveling. Stinks because 4g coverage is great in town but no coverage at all in many surrounding communities and areas.

Out of the four major carriers, T-Mobile has been the most lenient. Back in November 2007, I signed up online for the heck of it and was approved for one line at the time. A few months down the road I qualified for another line. Three years later, I had six lines total. Up to date, I have four lines. I've cancelled two so far. Verizon wanted $1000 at that time. AT&T wanted about $250. Credit was less than stellar.
