Yeah I noticed it this afternoon. My email/internet wasn't working because my data plan wasn't provisioned for BB. I got it fixed but it's still happening.
Try accessing the the BIS site from the wap gateway in options. Click "help" and there's an option to send SB from there. Worked for me even when the regular site was down.
