Default T-Mobile Buries Me!!

In late August or Early September, 2011, I saw a blurb the T-Mo was offering a new unlimited talk and test plan for $49. I jumped at it as it was a money saver for me. I called T-Mo to upgrade my phone to a BB 9900 and boy was I surprised!!!

Jeannete told me that the type of plan I have was a value plan and not only can I not ever get an upgrade, but I CAN NEVER CHANGE MY PLAN!!!

Jacqueline the representative that changed my plan at the time, never ever mentioned a word about this. I have been a T-Mo customer for 15 years, the first moth it was available in GA (Airstream or Powertel).

I have no reason to make this up. In thes tougher economic times, even saving a few bucks a month is important. When I changed the plan, the new BB's were not available. Now they are.

I was told I cannot go back to my earlier plan or even to a new plan. I AM AM NOW BURIED IN T-MOBILE PURGATORY!!! Never to upgrade or have an opportunity to change plans.

Some please explain to me how I can be lied to and then told that there is nothing that T-Mobile can or will do to rectify this situation.

I'd go to a tmo retailer and explain your situation. Unfortunately, though, if you signed documents that stated that you'd be locked into this plan you might be out of luck.

Back when I was on contract (I'm on a grandfathered even more plus plan) and wanted to upgrade early they'd let me do a partial upgrade. Say the phone I wanted was $400 subsidized for $199. I could get the phone for $300 and extend my contract for another 2 years. I wonder why they wouldn't let you do this. Getting people to extend their contracts for as long as possible is just what they need right now.

so you are paying 50 a month plus tax?
what was cost of old plan?
do some math you may not get the discount up front but over time you may be saving more money. just gonna cost you upfront for a new device

Agreed! If that doesn't work goto retail store and speak to store manager near your
and worse case - just purchase from ebay or craiglist for fair price. Good luck!
