Default T-Mobile Bad Network

My use a rant.

TMO service on 9700 is disgusting and disappointing.

I continually have "Call Failed" messages duration of my calls. Many times I can't even make a call or incoming calls will be routed right to voice-mail w/o ringing. This issue isn't area specific.

Past few weeks the "Data Service" has become very slow. As slow a GPRS speeds, but 3G is shown in 9700.

I've spend hours and hours with multiple calls to customer service and BB tech support. About five "trouble tickets" have been filed and network engineers have yet to provide reason nor solution to these issues.

Last night in downtown Miami there were three major events Winter Music Festival 2010 , "Miami Ayuda Chile" fundraiser & club nightlife.

WOW, how ridiculous, NO ONE I surveyed could use their TMO data service, including BBM, or receive calls. A few people whom had AT&T's iPhone were actually streaming LIVE at the fundraiser w/ Qik | Record and share video live from your mobile phone service. No issues.

The 9700's had either GSM or edge, lowercase, shown on device.

I'm counting the days until 14 April whereas I'll cancel my T-Mobile service.

In some areas it may be like this. I know where I live, I get great service. If he unlocks it for att he will only be able to use edge not 3G but people forget that 3G drains your battery and unless your surfing the net it isn't going to matter during a call that's my imo.

I am not saying that AT&T is perfect but I visit Miami on a regular basis and AT&T works VERY well. Given time maybe T-Mo will get Miami up and running better.

The 3G network in Miami is being upgraded to HSPA+, and is likely the cause for issues with it...

Did you take into consideration the BIS upgrade on the night in question? That affects data, bbm and other services. It was common knowledge that it would occur. Every BB site in existence posted warnings. I'm not surprised you had problems. Everyone on BIS did!

I usually have the same problem and I'm in Newyork, Brooklyn.... The 3G changes to GPRS then goes to the lower case edge...

With that statement, I can tell you that it's your phone, not the network. NYC has some of the best T-Mobile coverage in the nation. You should call PDA support instead of ranting.

There's probably something to that statement. When they were first implementing 3G in the Seattle/Tacoma area, I had so many reception issue it was ridiculous.

I'm in NY. Out of all the networks, Tmobile is the worst.
