T-Mo Adding BBM to Unlimited Text Plans
So, has anyone with a BB and no data plan, but with an unlimited text plan, gotten BBM to work this week?
It was supposedly going into effect on the 21st.

I read about this JC but I don't have a way to test without risking my super sweet grandfathered plan!

Cool, my extra line with no data, just got free BBM! It is my old 9700 that I had set up as a house phone.

Re: T-Mo Adding BBM to Unlimited Text Plans
I was able to use BB messenger on my Pearl 8120 since last night (Oct 29). I don't have a data plan, but I have unlimited text messages. I previously contacted customer support on Oct 26th because I was trying to figure out how to add the feature, but the CS person said that the feature is not manually added but automatically added by the system once you reach all of the eligibility requirements. However, I share a family plan with my girlfriend and her phone (8820) hasn't been able to use the BB messenger app yet.
I found out about the free BBM feature from the webpage:

Update (Nov 2, 2012):
My girlfriend's phone now has BB messenger working...since this morning. We did not do anything...it just started working. We received a message from Blackberry on our phones saying: "Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network" and now our wireless coverage indicator at the top right corner of the screen changed from "edge" to "EDGE". Now we're able to send/receive BB messages to friends in other countries for free

Re: T-Mo Adding BBM to Unlimited Text Plans
I tried to pair with my son's BB, but we are both looking at a pending invite that's not going anywhere. I have BES, he has no data. Our minute plan should qualify, but I'm wondering if having a shared unlimited text plan is acceptable or does each line need their own. Still haven't found time to call...

Re: T-Mo Adding BBM to Unlimited Text Plans
I will look into it today but I thought that it was for monthly 4G customers only. That would make sense to make it for everyone with unlimited text because they don't have non untd text plans on no contract.
