Personally I don't understand the idea of using a BlackBerry which by definition is a data intensive phone and using anything but device with a full keyboard ... but again that is an individual call.
On switching from AT&T to T-Mobile ... CONGRATULATIONS. Good move. IMHO, AT&T is a terrible carrier in general and an even worse carrier in Southern California. I've had AT&T in past. Aside from their incredibly rude and obnoxious customer abuse ... errr, I mean customer service department, their coverage is horrible. In West LA, their service is spotty and poor and has been for years. Both the LA Times and Orange County Register have run articles rating the carriers in LA. Verizon and T-Mobile always get great ratings and AT&T always comes in at the bottom.
I have a couple of friends who still use AT&T (God only knows why) and they consistently have dropped call issues and poor service coverage.
Switching from AT&T to T-Mobile is a no brainer. T-Mobile is a far better choice for Southern Californians. T-Mobile is also Hollywood's first choice for a carrier. Anytime you see a celebrity running around town with a cell phone, chances are they'll be using T-Mobile.
Enjoy the switch. You'll be happy you left AT&T behind and moved over to a better carrier.
