Default Switched plans....(here's what I found)

Okay so I switched plans (my old 49.99 Loyalty Plan plus 34.99 text/BIS) to the 79.99 Even More + plan (unlimited min/text/web)...that's the one without a contract. The rep I talked to was very knowledgeable and was great.

There was a 35 dollar migration fee but that was it. I am still under contract but he was able to switch me over (starting next month) explaining to me that I would finish out my contract on the Even More + and then it would end (in jan for me!) and I would no longer be under contract...Therefore, there would be no 200 ETF fee or whatever. Just the 35 dollar migration fee.

It's 5 bucks cheaper than what I am paying now but I really wanted to switch because of the 20-month installment payment plan for new phones. I usually pay retail anyway so if I decide to buy from T-Mobile, I can pay over time.

I also talked to T-Mobile Premier and they told me that coporate/employer discounts DO NOT apply to these new plans. bummer. My discount was only 10% off anyway but I thought I'd let you guys know because it may be a deal breaker for some.

The good news is that ALL phone data, dumb and smart, are included with these plans. You don't have to buy separate phone packages or whatever. For those of you who like to swap out phones a lot and change phones, this may be a great plan for you. It's flexible at no extra cost.

I have to say, these plans are a nice treat...I think it's good for people who don't want to be on contract and it's great that tmo offers that option. I'm not sure if I would call it "game changing" but hey, it's still cool.

Blackberry 9700 here I come!

So in essesnce, you will be without a contract starting in January. You can still get new phones at retail but they can basically "finance" the phone over 20 months. So what happens since you are no longer under contract and you decide to leave T-Mo. You'd still own them for the phone, right? This plan sounds good, I think. I could get out of my contract, get the 9700, sell my unlocked 8900, and use those proceeds to pay off the bulk of the 9700 installment agreement. If that makes sense.

Yep, that's basically the game plan. Just wanted to let people know because some people are saying you have to pay 200 dollars to move to the EM+ plans but that's not true. I'm still under contract til jan.

And yep, if I get a phone and am paying in installments and then decide to leave, I have to finish paying off the phone (makes sense) but if I'm not under contract, there's no ETF.

A bit after the 9700 drops, I plan to sell my Curve 8900 too. It's unlocked and I'll throw in all the accessories. It'll help offset some of the 9700 cost.

Sounds like this is what i'll do. I have bought so many accessories for my 8900. I'm about to put the Chrome casing back on too since i'm on my 2nd black casing and both have peeled. I never had that issue with the Chrome housing.

This is what is most important to me, because I hardly talk on the phone. Thank you for this bit of info

Upgraded to the $99 one so I get the full discount for the 9700 and I get to keep my military discount

I'm looking over T-Mobile's site right now, but it isn't very clear.

I want the 79.99 Even More + plan (unlimited min/text/web)

Does that price include BIS?

I currently have the Individual Unlimited for 99.99 + BIS for 24.99 + 9.99 for TeleNav, so obviously i'm ready to switch my plan to something better and i realize that i will need to continue and pay the TeleNav reguardless. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Yes, it includes BIS. The talk/text/web packages cover all data.
You should def switch, you'll be saving tons. And you'll even get texts.

@californium
Depends on what you do. From what I've been told/ead, you DON'T have to pay the 200$ if you switch to EM+ if you REMAIN on your current contract. I am now on EM+ but I am still bound by my old contract and the end date hasn't changed.

If you wanted to cancel ur current contract and go with EM+ then yes it's 200 ETF. But you can also do what I did and just pay the 35 fee and no ETF.

If I did decide to cancel before my contract was up, I would have to pay $200 ETF.

The "all data included" thing is spectacular. You can switch devices really easily and/or just call in and say "I'm going to android" and they can provision your account for free.

I wish this would save me money, but it won't, I'll be sticking with what I have.

I just switched to the 750 all you can eat plan and I'm saving about 30 bucks a month. From what the rep told me, that once my billing cycle ended, I was no longer under contract. I don't know if I was given misinformation, but Artemis was told somthing different. That being said, the rep told me that the Oynx was relaseing before the holidays, which we all knew, but she didn't know exactly when. I told her I was eyeing a new blackberry coming out and she said the Bold 9700. So its just a matter of time before I get it.

Yeah I was told that I would still be under contract...no 200 fee though. Did you have one?
