Default Switched from 8900 to 9700 today - Unlimited Web used to work, no longer does...

Has anyone had this problem? I was using my 8900 with Unlimited Web 9.99 (and Blackberry Feature Enabler) and with non-BB applications (Bolt, Opera Mini, Gmail app, Viigo, Xenozu etc), it was perfect for five months.

Exchanged for a 9700 from someone I know that just got it and none of that works anymore. No BB or third-party applications working, zilch. Not on WiFi or otherwise. (But links provided via text worked if on WiFi.) Admittedly, I had some difficulty downloading a third-party app to begin with (I started off with a wiped device... ), but it is what it is. I've been trying the Gmail app and Viigo with the three known APNs and it's busted.

Yes, I know the moral, religious, and other ramifications of paying for a lesser plan. We can talk about that elsewhere. All I would kindly like to know now is - has anybody had this issue? Thanks.

I haven't experienced this yet, but I figured it was only a matter of time, as T-Mobile has been slowly patching the holes in features. The one you mentioned, plus the T-Zones one on the Iphone, were both big ones. A lot of people have noticed that you can no longer browse the internet over wifi if you don't have data too. It's probably something that was fixed in 5.0

Norris, what about the people with the $19.99 Blackberry Internet plan? Is that plan still okay if I buy a new Blackberry?

This happens sometimes. First try a battery pull. If that doesn't work Give Tmo a call and they might to rework your berry on the system.
