The 9520 *should* be here by year's end. I can't remember if the 9500 has WiFi. Might check into that.

Default BB8900 is better

I really love the curve, and honestly I think that touch screen is just a fad and will eventually fade away soon. Touch screen was once used in some engineering fields, but it quickly went away because it doesn't hold up. Also, i have heard that the mercury switch on the storm is not good. I know someone with the Storm and I actually loved the way it felt and the the keys.

However, we have other phones in our store that are touchscreen from other Manf. that we will not speak of on this forum, and honestly I don't see what people see in them but that it is popular RIGHT NOW. The screens always mess up on customers. BB 8900 is better.

I used the Storm on T-Mobile for all of two weeks and went straight back to my Curve. (Which is similar to an iAffair I had last month that was equally short-lived.) The service (T-Mobile) was never an issue, the device (Storm) was. I've converted dozens of my friends to avid BB users, but wouldn't recommend the Storm as it seemed totally riddled with bugs and was a constant frustration to try to use.

I have a Storm that I used with VZW and i have it unlocked and use it on T-Mobile as well.

I mainly use my 8900 w/ T-Mobile simply because i'm a seasoned CB user and can generally move faster on it vs. any touch screen phone.

Sometimes, like today, I will use my Storm for a couple of days because i miss the nice screen and the 4.7 OS

I wouldn't recommend the Storm to anyone as a first Blackberry because a smart phone OS can be hard enough to learn let alone 4.7 on the Storm because it's not built for touch screen it's like RIM just through the BB OS on a touch screen phone.

The speed here in NYC for EDGE on the Storm compared to the 8900 is not THAT noticiable. Although i rarely go on actual full websites on the 8900 when i'm not home. That's only because i may do it once in awhile while laying in bed but even then i'm using UMA/WiFi

I use stuff like Viigo and Poynt to get the information I need so I don't have to visit any websites and the ones I do are WAP like CB and such.

The Storm is A LOT of fun and theres stuff you just can't do on any other phone (or blackberry) but don't use it if you are a text/email power user. If you enjoy nice web browing and media it's a god of phones. It's a fun and intuitive experience in my opinion. I've upgraded to all the newest OS leaks and each one has been better for me. I have no gripes about it right now compared to how it was shipped.

I'm not sure if I should make the change or not. Don't get me wrong, I love my 8900 is fast but that touchscreen looks hot haha. All the bugs and problems should be easy to fix with a firmware/OS upgrade. I'm still not sure about what to do but I'll keep researching.

IMO EDGE runs as good as 3G. Depending where you live, 3G drops a lot. I used to have my Storm on AT&T and sold it after 4 months. I loved every moment of it.

I do a lot of typing and a lot of business from my Blackberry so I had to get rid of the Storm.

The "9520" is a WiFi/EDGE version of the 9530.

Why do you say it is bad with texting and emails?
