Default South eastern CT users?

I'm looking to hear about T-Mobile users in the southeastern CT area. Focusing around Groton/Mystic/Stonington area but any input will do.

I absolutely love my sprint service, but considering leaving for T-Mobile or AT&T for their blackberry selection. I have looked over the coverage maps, but I think we all know those aren't always as accurate as they claim them to be.

Any input is welcome, and appreciated, thanks!

I've gotten good service in and around Mohegan Sun with my T-mo phone. Better than my wife who is on AT&T (and infinitely better than my previous carrier, Sprint).

If you really want to test the waters on TMO, you can always buy a cheap prepaid phone to do your research. Travel around your town and towns around it to see how it is. I don't live in CT but I live in a small town in NC of under 25,000 in population and I get 3G/HSPA+ service here which totally surprised the heck out of me when I found out HSPA+ was lit up here. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. :P Sprint's been good with me so far on my little dumb phones but I'm just sick of CDMA now.

T-Mobile's cheap prepaid phones give out the worst signal. I've purchased them all besides the Motorola Renew, they all blow hard when it comes to reception.

You do have UMA for when you're near a WiFi hotspot, which will let your phone act as if it was on the cellular network but with a WiFi signal. "WiFi calling" as they call it but it lets you call, send messages and of course surf the web without any network coverage.

If the coverage doesn't meet your expectations you have 14 days to return it and resume your account with Sprint.
