| | Sooooo disappointed, almost disgusted..
Im going to make a long, drawn out, several month story pretty short. The run down......I am appalled that Tmobile is so anti-blackberry. Not only at the CSR level, but the retention level and EVEN the corporate level. I am on my 4th bb bold 9780. Now, I know its not Tmobiles fault per say and they have been good about doing the warranty exchange for them. Problem is that every remanufactured device they send has some sort of hardware issue. It started with the keyboard, then 2 bum trackpads and then a odd but constant restart where reloading the software didnt help.
Ive called the customer service line and have worked with all of them, Ive talked to retentions about it and even received two calls from corporate about it. And despite my requests and demands to retain a bb device, I have coheres to leave the bb line for a different platform. I just wanted a phone that actually works....I paid for a working phone and I expect to have just that. I dont want a nokia or android...I just want my bb. I dont think thats too much to ask. So, thanking them politely but stating repeatedly that I do NOT want to change platforms, I was told that either I can downgrade my phone to a lesser blackberry or switch platforms. That was the rep from corporate offices that actually offered that I can switch platforms and basically choose another device and just re up my contract. Pretty good deal right? NO! I can, for free, change into a new platform device, have another 2 year contract(doesnt bug me) and I wont be able to go back to a BB for the life of my contract. Or I can have a new contract and pay $100 for a curve. Those are the options I was given.
Maybe its just me, but I thinks its absolute BULLSH!T that my options are to give up my BB or just downgrade my phone because they dont want to send me another 9780. And their reasoning for such is "since Im having so many problems with this device, I should just move into a new platform. Blackberries are known for having more hardware problems than any other device Tmobile carries"....that statement just dropped my jaw. Im not asking for an upgrade to what I have. I just want a phone I can actually use. I dont think thats asking too much. And to be insulted by either choosing a different phone platform, they heavily pushed Nokia, or just down grade my phone which IS NOT an option in my opinion. I loved, yes loved cuz Im not feeling the return of love, Tmobile. I have no problems with service, I have no billing issues and anytime I ever had a problem in the past 5 years, they have been EXCELLENT in resolving the issues.....until now. Looks like it may be time to part ways.....that saddens me.

I actually am surprised they told you to downgrade a phone. Who the **** does that. I would have snapped on the line to the point of probably being blocked, lol!
Lucky as i haven't run into those problems and hope i don't and i went through 5 9700's, 2 LG Optimus's and two mytouch 4G's in the last 2 years. ....scratch that, 1 year 8 months. .....
Honestly if i was told that, I would cancel and tell them they can have their monies you owe them when the moons jump over the cows!
Yes I met it that way, lol!

Your story makes me really think. My daughter is on her 4th 9700 Bold since Father's Day 2010. She has had her new refurb since Friday and is already complaining about it. T-Mobile blames the crap refurbs on RIM's poor quality control. My daughter wanted a MyTouch 4G and they said no way. The only phone she is allowed to get for a warranty exchange is a 9700. I'm about to cancel her contract rather than continue to listen to a 17 year old's constant complaining. She wants nothing more to do with BlackBerry.

I did go off.....even more, I snapped when she told me that if I switch platforms like I was so desperately pushed to do, I could never return to a blackberry. Best part about this is that I was offered a FULL upgrade for any device....except blackberry.
Needless to say, I am waiting until November and I will sadly have to part with Tmobile due to the unprofessionalism of their corporate staff and the fact that this person can not seem to return a phone call what so ever. Although, before I do leave, I will be sure to raise some **** with her supervisor and escalate it as far as I can.

Just for informative reasons, its per se, not per say.
As far as the T-Mobile CS, I have to agree 100%. It used to be so easy to talk to a rep, and 99% of the times, they were extremely helpful.... now, It is impossible to talk to a rep, and from I am hearing and reading in many threads here too, it just all went AT&T, if you know what I mean... |

I just think "Peggy" is handling all of T-Mobile's calls.
