| | So should i go with t-mobile?
My phone carrier is suncom wireless and they have been bought out by t-mobile, as some t-mobile customers may no. I have been looking at t-mobile for a while thats why i went with suncom but they now just seem to expensive my plan now is for 2000 anytime min. and nights and weekends, text and pic. messaging and bb service is only $58.00 a month with tax. So the question is , is it worth it to stay with t-mobile?

If you can keep that plan then yeah. Thats cheaper than any other comparable bb plan ive seen. Even through t-mobile i pay 65 for half as many minutes and only 400 sms/mms.

Tell them you'll switch if you can keep the same plan at the same price.

Tell them you won't switch over to T-Mobile unless they offer you the same thing at the same price.

You just can't beat the MyFave Plan and Unlimited Hotspot calling (UMA).
But you will need a 8120/8320/8820. |

The first thing you have to realize is that the carrier you have right now (SunCom) is offering some crazy plans!
There is no major carrier that will offer rates comparable to what your carrier is offering (according to what you said).
That being said, this is what I would personally do. TMobile is obtaining all of SunCom's network, so your coverage with TMobile would be the same or better. You would also have far better nation-wide coverage, support and device selection.
When a carrier takes over another, they do not force you to change plans. They are probably encouraging you to, but if they make you change plans it is a breach of contract... blah blah blah. The point is, whatever SunCom plan you have will likely remain as a grandfather plan and you can keep it but will not be able to make changes to it (unless you switch to an "official" TMobile plan).
So... if you have this amazing plan with SunCom, TMobile will acknowledge it as well. I would recommend getting a solid SunCom plan now... while you still can... and it will be grandfathered in at TMobile.
(just to put things in perspective, TMobile is the best value of all major carriers. They offer a Minutes and Mail plan for BlackBerry for $60 which includes 1000 anytime minutes, unlimited data, unlimited txt, email)

yeah I agree with queen and bmc, even if your plan becomes 10 bucks more, it'll still be cheaper then any other carrier with data packages.....I've been with them for a year and a half, never any issues or probs, i bougt my blackberry second hand and they gave me a new model free of charge....been great to me....not only that but the UMA feature is killer....

SunCom is giving away some ridiculous plans right now in an effort to drive up the final purchase price. I have unlimited talk, data and 400 text right now for $89 bucks. Renewed for two years which t-mo has said they will honor. So lock in a good deal while you can. If you dont like em youll be able to walk with little to no hassle. Tech support also told me yesterday they will soon be mailing us out the subsidy unlock codes because we will have to have new t-mo SIM cards come Sept 8th.

You should be able to keep that same plan even if they try to talk you out of it. They'd rather keep you as a customer with that plan than lose you and a customer.

That will be the catch... once you go to upgrade you will probably be required to update your contract as well!
If I were you, I would re-think your current contract and get a deal on a SunCom Curve (whatever model that is) and finalize what you want your plan to be once TMo takes over. That will allow you to secure your contact, device and rates!

I don't remember seeing anything like that.
