I really do. I'd hate 2 jump 2 Sprint if this merger did go through. I hope T-Mobile can weather the storm up ahead.

What does AT&T have to pay in compensation? Wasn't it like $8BN or something ridiculous?

Whoa. I'd hate to be the one signing that particular cheque.

The question is who is going to buy T-Mobile then. Eventually it will be sold. The best thing that could happen is Google buys it.

Wow! thats rare. T-Mobile is terrible. Their plans are cheaper because they provide terrible service.

When I had T-Mobile I couldn't use my cell phone in the house (I live in a major city). I would have to go outside or walk down the street just to get a few bars to make a call.

I have friends who have to stand near a window to make a call using T-Mobile.

I switched to At&t (now have Verizon) and finally experienced how cell phone service is SUPPOSED to work lol

But if you like their service, more power to you

LoL. Use a router! T-Mobile offers UMA for exactly those reasons.

"AT&T will pay Deutsche Telekom $4 billion in cash and wireless spectrum access as a break-up fee under the terms of the merger announced in March."

Don't get too excited yet. Deutsche Telekom has made it clear that they still want to dump T-Mobile USA and that they will look to either break it up or for another buyer. After the $39b offer from AT&T I doubt anyone else can come close to that.

It would be nice if they took some of that $3b and put it into infrastructure. At my house and for 1-2 miles I only get EDGE and they've told me there are no plans for upgrades or improvements. I'm pretty sure that Deutsche Telekom will take the money and use it in Europe.

So it's not over yet folks

Eventually someone will snag them up. If not, so be it! Rather them call it quits and I dont have to pay any ETF's than switch over to the deathstar.....

If so, Boost here I come! Verizon is to expensive for my blood and Sprint is terrible around here as well.

Also funny, if you get bad signal in a house, use your router like the one guy said! Full bars of UMA or wifi calling! Great service Tmobile uses there. If you dont have a router, well then, I dont know what to tell ya. Can get them pretty cheap. And if you cant get internet out your way, well then.......install a NASA cap on top of your house, whatever that is!

There are plenty of people that experience the same with Verizon and AT&T in major cities. With the wealth of knowlege and posts about it on the interner you'd think you would have come across something like that but nope..
