No Verizon bought skype exclusivity for BB so you are out of luck.

That's not true. Skype recently upgraded their mobile application so now anyone in the US (regardless of carrier) can make calls over the Internet.

At least, that's how it is for Android.

Not true for carriers in the US other than limited for VZ: there is NO Blackberry Skype app either for use over the network or WIFI.

Incorrect. The Skype BlackBerry application currently only works on Verizon devices on the Verizon network in the US.
