Default Since I'm stuck with TMo for a couple more years....

....and I'd really like a 9810, I have a question about the 3G bands. Are there any other carriers that will carry the 9810 that use the same 3G bands as TMo US? I'm currently using a MyTouch 4G, I love BB's, but I also love a lot of the apps you can get on Android. But based from the videos of the 9810, it beats the MyTouch 4G hands down. I know the PlayBook is getting an Android App player, but I have no idea if the BB7 devices are getting it too or if I needs QNX to run.

So, to clarify. I'd love to have a 9810 that runs on on TMo US 3G/HSPA+ network, and even better if gets the Android App Player. Can anyone answer any of these questions?

The only carrier that I'm aware of that runs on TMOs AWS 1700 MHz is Wind Mobile in Canada. Regarding phones, I have no clue if they'll bring the 9810.

From Wind Mobile FAQs:

Question

I already have a phone - can I bring it to WIND?

Answer
There are a few criteria for bringing your own phone with you to WIND:
a) Must be compatible with our network (AWS/1700 Mhz/)
b) Must NOT be locked to another carrier
c) Phones compatible with the U.S. T-Mobile network often work with WIND
If you're in doubt, bring your phone into any WIND store and we'll check it out on the spot.

Here's how our lawyers say it:

By activating services using your WIND licensed SIM card, you acknowledge receipt of and agree to accept and abide by our Terms of Service (which are included with the SIM card and are available here. WIND does not make and expressly disclaims any representations and warranties relating to the SIM card or handset and does not represent or warrant that any particular handset will work with your SIM card and/or that all services available to WIND customers are available on your handset. Not all phones designed to work on the AWS band will work your SIM card. Please check handset compatibility before licensing your SIM card from us.

In Canada, Industry Canada held the auction for AWS spectrum in 2008.[2] Wind Mobile has licensed AWS spectrum in every province aside from Quebec, and began offering voice and data services on December 16, 2009. Mobilicity also uses the AWS spectrum and began offering services in May 2010. Quebecor licensed AWS spectrum throughout the province of Quebec and began offering service with its Videotron brand on September 9, 2010.[3]

Shaw Communications licensed AWS spectrum in western Canada and northern Ontario, but has not yet launched its wireless services as of June 2011.[4] Halifax-based EastLink obtained licenses in eastern Canada,[5] and has not yet launched services as of June 2011.
