someone in a previous thread like this said that it was naive to think that we have a voice.

in some respects, i can see their point.

however, you never know. maybe since TMO has way better customer service than most they might actually take a look and have a listen?

Who are you petitioning though?

Tmobile's parent company already wants to sell the company. The buyer already wants to buy it...

Petitioning for what, both sides want to do this already...

Petitioning for the DOJ to kill this deal as it causes a monopoly in the GSM spectrum. We didnt want to be AT&T customers so we went with Tmo in the first place.

Read the petition though. It doesn't mention GSM or spectrum monopoly once...

Fact is there are numerous carrier choices even with tmobile gone in the US. VZ (larger than AT&T) is still a major competitor as is Sprint. Even with the merger, AT&T won't even be close to monopolizing the entire wireless service industry as the petition claims...

VZ is not even worried and does not even care to fight this merger...

So the petition is poorly written if that was the intent.

I agree with what you say about the petition, but I disagree on competition. The GSM Spectrum will be a monopoly.

Read what I said. I said two things:
1 - The petition makes no mention of GSM or GSM spectrum (the only inclination I have of that is your interpretation of the petition).
2 - They have no monopoly over the US wireless industry as a whole

Is GSM spectrum monopoly an actual consideration? VZ is doing a pretty good job of getting close to monopolizing the CDMA spectrum at this point... I'm pretty sure anti-monopoly has to do with competition in the wireless market and not the spectrum that it operates on...

This is just too funny...

I'm for the merger, so I won't be signing this. I feel Tmobile merging with Att is the only thing that will keep it afloat.

^^ That's one thing I don't think people understand. DT has been trying to offload Tmobile for a while now...

They can't compete with AT&T and VZ. What's going to happen if they are not obtained by a larger company... 3g network rollout was years behind the other carriers. LTE rollout will be even more expensive and difficult for them...
