should my 9700 be on 3g and 2g or just 2g undermobile network options?

I updated my os to the most recent release. One of the reps at T-Mobile gave me hand every thing went smooth. But just a while ago it seemed as if every time I glanced at my
signal it was under EDGE.I checked the mobile network settings and it was on 2g so I switched it to the option stating 2g and 3g. But now when I try to search anything on the web browser nothing happens. Yet I can use all my other apps which use data. For instance ill search you tube and it won't go through. Yet I use the PLAYER FOR YOUTUBE and everything works fine same with twitter and face book they work as expected. What do you guys make of this?

If you're in a EDGE-only zone, I suggest setting it to 2G only. It may save some battery.

Are you using the Internet Browser or the WAP Browser?
