Question Should I stay or should I go?!

Hi guys! I just need a little input 'cause I'm in a quandry.....

My son and I were on Cellular South until Tuesday when I switched us to T-Mobile. (I was trying to save money - our bill at CS was about $230/mo...unlimited everything on our Pearls). Anyway, I got the Curve 8320 for both of us and had to take them back yesterday as they were defective. When I got home with my 2nd Curve, I had to call an 800 number from my landline because although I could receive calls, I couldn't make a call...and a few other little things weren't working. After being on the phone with 2 different T-Mobile techs, I finally got the phone up and running. When I handed my son the 2nd Curve and he plugged it in, it immediately said SOS in the upper right-hand corner which is also what the 1st set of Curves said. My son said that the one conversation he actually had on (the 1st) Curve, the call was breaking up and he was outside a building on campus (he's in college). Of course, he's more of a text-er than a talker, but he said he never had any problems with the CS service and wanted to go back to CS. So, my husband made that call last night and put my son back on CS.

My dilemma is that I'm not sure if I should stay with T-Mobile or go back to Cellular South and of course, I only have 14 days to decide! I've read through a lot of posts in the T-Mobile forum trying to get a feel as to whether or not current customers are happy with their service. I guess it's just been such a bumpy start for me...now I'm wondering if I did the right thing by switching.

Of course, since I won't be on a Family plan with T-Mobile, I have no clue what my monthly charges will be, so I need to find that out...which might be the deciding factor whether I stay or not since I was trying to save money in the first place.

OK...sorry this is so long...I know I'm rambling!

TIA!

I would stay and use this situation to your advantage to maybe upgrade your phone since there has been nothing but problems. Like you said you have 14 days, and in the time remaining i would try to make something happen and point out you can prove you were a loyal "on time" paying client of your last provider. Also have you checked online to see the availability of service in your area to ensure that you are covered entirely.

Should I stay or should I go now? If I stay there will be trouble, but if I go there will be double.

You need to find out if the SOS is due to a defective radio or whether you live in an area that doesn't have a good tmo signal. Unless you are on a flex plan tmo will bend over backwards to keep you happy but they can't help if you don't have good signal coverage at your house.
Now I don't know what you had with your cellsouth plan but you can get a chunk of voice minutes and BB service with TMO for that price. However price is no concern unless you can have a reliable signal.

the sim card could also be the issue with the SOS. I had that problem and replaced the sim card and it was fine.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I'm in a big city, so good coverage shouldn't be an issue. :-) I spoke with T-Mobile about canceling my son's account and the best price they could give me for an individual plan is MyFaves (plus nights & week-ends) 1000 minutes + unlimited data for $94.99/mo. Seems to me Cellular South is a better deal because I had unlimited minutes and unlimited data for $99. She also said that the SOS might be because the SIM card is no good. *sigh*

Thanks again!
