Default Sending faxes over T-mobile?

Is there any (free) way to SEND faxes using one's T-mobile cell phone? I've got a Blackberry 9700, so it can do either 3G or UMA.

I know about various fax services on the net, but the one's I've seen charge $10+ a month, about as much as I pay for the land line in the package I've got. I don't have to send many faxes, but every now and again I do, maybe 1-2 pages every couple months, and then it's usually time urgent so running to someplace like kinko's isn't workable. I'd like to dump my landline but one thing it does do is allow sending those pesky faxes.

(Receiving them is less of a problem, as I rarely get them and have a [free, for now] efax.com account. But to send faxes with them costs as much as having a landline, just like the other services.)

Anyway, has anyone had any experience sending faxes via their cell?

The paid fax services have a required incoming fax number to pay for.
I use Maxemail.com that has a lite service for $24/yr ($2/mo).
Internet fax service: Fax to email & email to fax | MaxEmail

It is very efficient and can be used for [email attachment > fax]. You receive fax by email attachment in pdf, jpg and others that can be viewed on the 9000.

If you do a google search 'free efax services' there are several companies that offer 'free' send with an ad on the top.

Thanks, mandony. At least $25/yr is cheaper than $10/mo. I realize they need the money to pay for one phone line per person for incoming faxes, though I only need to send.

I'm gathering from the overwhelming lack of replies about faxing over a t-mo cell signal that it ain't possible.

Also, I did find faxzero.com that sends short faxes free, so that might do it for me.

Not sure about workarounds or tricks, but tmobile did have a free fax service on thier mobile phones back in the day. If you have a new even more or even more plus account, you no longer have this feature and it cannot be added. If you have an older plan with tmobile, call customer care and inquire about fax use on your mobile phone, they will check to see if you still have access to this ancient archaic feature and will explain how its used.

edit: If im wrong, dont hit me Just going off of memory

Thanks, I'll check it out. I do have an old plan that includes fax "voice"mail where it will store incoming faxes, which I've used a couple times over the years. I'll see if they have a sending component to it.

They are a bit expensive ... For 'send only' they charge USD$25 a year or $7 a month.
There are some free services that put their ads on your FAX
